Worry can be debilitating. It causes you to feel stuck in situations you seemingly can't control. It eats away at confidence to make decisions. Often it "spreads" to new situations and causes you to fear changes. Physical symptoms come with anxiety; headaches, trouble with sleep, stomach problems and sometimes panic attacks which cause a cascade of alarming symptoms. If you experience panic, you may fear you are "going crazy."
Treatment can help you feel better if you experience anxiety and excessive worry. In therapy, I help you learn skills to reduce anxiety and quickly alleviate symptoms. We work on changing thoughts that can further help you keep worry at bay, and develop new resources that put you on a future path of using your energy in positive ways.
